SPRINGFIELD ELEMENTARY   

 **Parents please note that approximately between the times of 12:30p-1:30p I transport PK students up to Tyndall.  At this time, the office door is closed and sometimes the teachers can’t get to the phone to answer it right away.  Please be patient with us and if no one answers, try to call back later.  This is one good reason to call ahead, send a note with your child to school the day before, or that morning so we don’t miss your call.  We appreciate your patience in this matter and so sorry for the inconvenience this may cause at times.

 SEPTEMBER

16^th - Picture forms due back for students unless you have gone online and chose your child’s pictures.  Make sure you look it over and either order online by scanning the barcode, or go to the website below for Marks, or return the picture form with the money for the pictures by Sept. 16^th.

17^th – Picture day for all students.  Starting in Springfield at 8:15 am and then on to Tyndall.

17^th – We will have a demonstration and talk on Flag Etiquette by the American Legion Post, followed by burning of all old and tattered flags starting at 2:00p at the school.                     

20^th – No school this Friday.

OCTOBER

 3^rd – Field trip to Amazing Acres Pumpkin Patch by Yankton.  The bus will leave at 12:15p!

10^th – Parent Teacher conferences with a 12:30p dismissal & End of First Quarter.

12^th – Springfield Elementary Fall Fest 2024 – Springfield PTO is now handling the Fall Fest

          this year.  It will take place in the Springfield gym this year.  Please plan to come and

          check out all the great displays and visit with the vendors.  A great way to do some Christmas shopping!

NOVEMBER

20^th – Flyers going home with students for the Christmas Store at school.  Kids and any adults that would like to shop are welcome and will be able to start shopping next week.

27^th – Early dismissal at 12:30p for Thanksgiving break

28^th-29^th – No school - Thanksgiving break – Flyers were sent home for the School Christmas Store which is now open for shopping because of the late Thanksgiving break!

DECEMBER

School Christmas Store – where everyone is welcome to come and shop!

20^th – End of Second Quarter

23^rd-31^st – Christmas break

JANUARY

1^st-6^th - Christmas break

7^th – Back to school today
