The Bon Homme School District has established a new Parent Lending Library. Parents are invited to come into the school and check out materials on any topics of interest. Right now, the materials are only available at the Tyndall site (in the elementary book room), but if a Springfield or Tabor parent has a request for a particular item, all they have to do is let their school know and the material will be sent to their site. It is our plan to extend the materials to the other sites as funding allows.

This Parent Lending Library has been established to provide books, a video, and an audio presentation to parents to provide expert advise on a variety of parenting issues. All of the books are written by noted child psychologists. Some of the selections include:

Beyond the Bake Sale by Karen L. Mapp, Vivian R. Johnson, and Don Davies

Raising Resilient Children by Robert Brooks, PhD., and Sam Goldstein, PhD.

Perfect Parenting and Other Myths by Frank Main, Ed. D.

Girl Wars by Cheryl Dellasega, PhD. and Charisse Nixon, PhD.

Queen Bees and Wannabees by Rosalind Wiseman

Kids, Parents, and Power Struggles by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka

Raising Your Spirited Child by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka

How to Talk So Your Kids Will Listen by H. Norman Wright
