American Government
This course is an examination of the background of our government, how it functions, and the responsibilities of our citizens. The students study the modern political and economic systems: how our country developed a Constitution and the struggles of a young nation, and political participation (voting, pressure groups, and political parties). The students will study the tree main branches of government, and how each operates.

1) The foundation of the American governmental System
2) Citizenship and Civil Rights
3) Congress
4) The presidency- national administration and public policy
5) The courts and the administration of justice.
