5138 - Sportsmanship
The Bon Homme School Board joins the SDHSAA in promoting good sportsmanship on the part of fans and students at all of the activities sponsored in our school.
Good sportsmanship embodies: Respect for the athletes playing the game. Respect for the game officials. Respect for the coaches. Respect for the fans on both sides. Respect for the rules of the game. Respect for the flag. Respect for the facilities.
Persons whose behavior is not sportsmanlike while attending or participating in activities in the district will be informed by school or game officials that their conduct is inappropriate. If the inappropriate behavior continues, the game or school officials may take further action against the person which might include removal from the premises for the remainder of the contest.
